Connections

Relationships Matter.

‘Family’ is a good way of understanding local congregations, the church as a whole and perhaps even the way the Kingdom of God grows and relates. For God so loved the world he sent his Son, he called us children, and he talks about us as His beloved bride.

Kings Church Wokingham was birthed as a non-denominational “new” church, but from the beginning it has always been open to fellowship with all who love and follow Jesus. Over the years it has been relationally connected with various wider church bodies, organisations and denominations.
Today we are developing our relationship with the Ichthus Christian Fellowship,  an international community of churches that relate to the network of churches planted by Roger Forster in London. Roger was the father of Kings Church’s current leader Christen Forster, who was present at the start of that movement. The current leader of the Ichthus Christian Fellowship, Henry George is a trustee of Kings Church Wokingham.

King’s is also in good relationship with the Catalyst network and more broadly with New Frontiers .

Overseas family

King’s Church has a long history of hands-on engagement with ministries and networks overseas. In particular we have a history in Vietnam and through that nation into Cambodia.  We have also had a long association with Nepal where we work with Agenda1, a missional movement that grew out of the IMI Church in Stavanger, Norway.
