The Underground Stream

Brady and Bitsy take a radical look at church history, tracing the evolution of Christian movements from the first-century apostolic era to the eighteenth-century Moravian mission. Based on about 15 hours of teaching from Roger Forster, they discuss the early church’s struggle under Roman persecution, citing archaeological evidence and pagan historians to validate the movement's rapid growth among both the plebs and powerful. Throughout, they highlight those, who movements and people who prioritised community living and non-violence over state-aligned religious structures to present a history of spirit-filled believers, maintaining biblical devotion despite opposition from both the medieval Catholic Church and later Protestant establishments.
