Finding your way around the Kings Church App
Getting Started
Welcome to our app! It's intended for those who are regularly, occasionally, or perhaps used to be with us! But whatever your background, location or history is, you're welcome to participate here🙂👍.
Now before you read on, there are a couple of things you need to do make using this app as useful and as easy as possible. It might help to play the audio introduction first that will talk you through the tabs and the sort of items you'll find in them. It's 8 minutes long but can play while you explore the app further and try out what it suggests.
Next get your user details properly set up, and then add your self to main messaging group. Use the buttons below guide you through the process, and explain "why" it helps.
There are a few pages which require a password to view... these pages are intended to support teams or communities with resources and information that they might not casually distributed more widely.
You can also use the messaging groups, (see the speech bubbles icon at the top of the app home screen). Some of these are free to join... once you select it you will included in messages and chat related to the community. Others need to be requested to join before you can start messaging. Still others only visible if you have been invited. If you regularly join in with King's Church activity please apply to join the King's Church Community group... we use this to communicate day by day messages for those who are involved with us.
You will also notice the button to join in our zoom/live prayer events. The prayer room is always open but if you press it and there's no-one else there don't be surprised... by the same token please be respectful if you accidentally turn up at someone else's prayer meeting.

Navigation: Quirks and "Features"
Your App will behave slightly differently depending the platform you are running on, Android phones, Amazon Kindles, iPhones and iPads all behave slightly differently and have different rules that the app available through their app stores have to conform to. This is particularly true for free (charity) apps. For this reason there are times when a click on your app will open a different app on your phone or web page in a browser. Don't worry about this, it is keeping our app simpler, the platforms prefer app to just do one thing well and connect to other apps to do other things.
ONE "PROBLEM" YOU MAY ENCOUNTER is when navigating "back" from a page or video is that you have you have to click "back" a second time to get past a blank page. Now, if YOU ARE ON AN APPLE DEVICE RUNNING "STAGE MANAGER" (Non-apple users don't need to care about this) you can get stuck on the blank page. you will need to come out of Stage Manager and navigate back to the main app screen before continuing. ALTERNATIVLY, Apple provides the main tab-icons on more App pages than Android does, these use these tab-icons to navigate back to the main app rather than the back button.
