Please Pray for Nepal and Katmandu
You’ve probably seen the news about the huge floods in Nepal, which happened just days after the visit to Kings of. Tanka, our partner in Kathmandu, and the arrival over there of John Hicklin, the previous leader of Kings Church Wokingham. We also have a member living there, Hannah who has been working with children for several year now..
.We will add reports from John, Hannah and Tanka as we get them. But please feel free to add news and prayer in the comments section.

Although much of the city is not impacted where the floods came through the situation is grave. There is loss of life, many homes and church buildings swept away, schools closed and landslides blocking all roads to Kathmandu. They are now dealing with the aftermath, people trying to get back on their feet in a country ill equipped to respond to such emergencies. The drying mud is creating clouds of dust. They need our prayers.

nWe have been able to continue with our programme albeit with reduced numbers for the leadership gathering on Weds and Thurs. Dhading Besei has not been too badly effected but other areas have had more problems. Details are still coming in. Transport is still an issue, there is a road that has been cleared to a measure, but its hard work. Buying a plane ticket requires a mortgage!

nWe had a very good session with church leaders yesterday from different backgrounds around Agenda 1 and how it can help to develop a discipleship and missional culture in the church.
Thanks for the update John.
