Holding on to God’s Promises
A message from Desmond in Kenya
Find out more about the context
In December of 2024 Desmond gave up his full time employment to focus on developing his Technical College and several new businesses that will help build social wealth in Kenya.
In January of 2025 he is travelling and doing work on the ground for these varied projects.
Later. In 2025 several of us will visit Kenya to link up with Desmonds, Nancy, Joseph and Jacob’s various works in Kenya.

Dear Kings Church
Just a quick update as we approach the end of January, I reflect on how swiftly the month has flown by. Yet, the work continues, step by step, day by day, as we walk in faith and trust in God’s promises. I hold onto His assurance that this project will bring change and transform countless lives for the better.
God’s promises are unfailing. They inspire transformation in our faith and guide us through every season of life. In His Word, He promises us renewal when we feel weary, His nearness in times of loneliness, rest for our souls, hope for tomorrow, strength to endure, and restoration when we are broken. These promises are steadfast and true, sustaining us through the highs and lows of our journey.
I hope this message finds you all well.

The promises of God are the bedrock of our faith. They uplift us when we’re discouraged, encourage us to keep moving forward, push us to dream bigger, and remind us of His strength when ours feels depleted. They bring healing to our spirits and allow us to continue on this incredible journey of faith, even when challenges arise.
This year, my heartfelt prayer for 2025 is for a season of abundant blessings, fulfilled promises, and divine favor. May God’s grace guide us as we press on, knowing that His plans for us are always good. Amen.
On the ground, all the students have now returned to school and resumed their studies. Over the weekend, we were blessed with some rain, which brought much-needed relief from the relentless heat. The downpour not only cooled the temperatures but also settled the dust, making the atmosphere far more bearable. It’s a small but powerful reminder of how God meets our needs, even in the most practical ways.
May you have a wonderful and blessed week ahead. I look forward to catching up soon.
Warm regards,
Des
