Mary's Thoughts

Who am I to be chosen for such a task?
Just a young girl,
I've not searched the scriptures, studied the law,
I'm not of royal blood or noble lineage.

Yet I am highly favoured,
a chosen one,
a receiver of angels.

The task is great,
it will be hard...
as it may bring shame on my family.

Will the family of my betrothed one understand,
realise what may lie ahead for us?

And the name, we do not even get to choose the name!
It will be Yeshua, f
or He will save His people from their sins.
What kind of child will this be?

I am the servant of the Lord,
I will carry out His commands,
the angel of the Lord Himself was my messenger.
