Wise Men

There were many prophesies about the Messiah, but the people of Israel didn't fully understand them. Similarly, the Wise Men set off in pursuit of a King, but baby Jesus wasn't found in the world or palaces and riches they expected. Yet when they found him there was "something unearthly or other worldly" about it. They felt the presence of God and it changed everything. So often as we seek God, we find in unexpected places and in unexpected ways.


Prayer
Father God, as the Wise Men sought the King, help us to seek you with all our hearts. Help us to travel, to persevere where necessary and to be open to the "other worldly". May we have the sense of awe and jubilation of the Wise Men as we find you.
