Vietnam : Training in Abraham region by Kim

Kim sent this report from her visit to the Hmong tribe in the “Abraham” region, located on the border with China. No leaders from IEM (the national church network) have been able to visit the region for the past four years, hence the local leaders were hungry for training. Tuyen has recently taken over responsibility for the area and works closely with Kim. Kim delivered the Basic Doctrine course John Hicklin had developed for the May trip to the Mekong Delta with Kim and Tuyen. The teaching was very well received, though it took a couple of days for the leaders of this male led culture to acclimatise to  a female delivering such deep bible teaching.
Kim says: “The training was attended by 13 of new leaders or people serving in the church. All can understand Vietnamese well, so no interpretation into Hmong language is needed. We start from 7:30 am until 6:30 pm with 1hour 30 mins lunch break. We have regular sessions for them to present what they learnt according to the subject. There will be two further trips to the region in 2025 to complete this training. They keep asking me to provide further training for various groups as they have not received training for the last 4 years.”
